Canine Adventure offers three levels of dog walks to ensure your dog is getting the exercise they need without overexerting themselves.

You know your dog best, but Canine Adventure will do an assessment of your dog to ensure that they are at the best level for their capabilities.  Remember, our common goal is to have all our dogs romping off-leash in the hills and having loads of fun!  We have free pick up and drop off in the Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda area.  For those outside the area there is a small service charge.  Please call for rates for outside the Lamorinda area.

The Adventure level is ideally where your dogs want to be. These walks will be off-leash in the East Bay Regional Park open space areas or an equivalent. Because of this, dogs that go on these adventure walks must be in good physical shape, non-aggressive and able to obey voice commands.  Expect your dog to get dirty on these types of walks every once in awhile (see below).  Because we often will walk in areas where cattle may be grazing, it is very important that your dog not chase or attack the cows or other wildlife (like deer, turkey, rabbits, etc.) for their own safety.

For dogs that may not quite be ready for the longer hike, Canine Adventure offers the beginner level. This level is designed for dogs six months or older  that need to work up to the adventure level.  Dogs on these walks will build up stamina as well as practice basic walk/trail etiquette and behavior.  Dogs will have an opportunity to be socialized with other older and more experienced dogs.  Even if you don't think your dog is a typical Canine Adventure Dog, there is no reason they won't enjoy the benefits of the beginner level indefinitely.

The intermediate level walks are fun-filled adventures that will take your dog from beginner to Adventure! This level is really for those dogs that may not be quite ready for the Adventure level's time and distance but it will only be a short while before they are ready to become a full fledged Canine Adventure Dog!  These walks will basically be shorter versions of the adventure walks. As with the beginner level, some dogs may be more comfortable at the intermediate level for a sustained amount of time.
